06/25/2011, Germany | June 27, 1969 in the bar «Stonewall Inn», located at 53 Christopher Street in New York, the local homosexual community has given the first fight the police, who staged a violent raid in another place, where there is usually going to gay, lesbian and Other so-called while the "dregs of society." Contrary to his usual humble behavior, "humiliated and insulted," the police fought back the terror about 500 people took to the streets and staged a siege barricaded in a bar officials. For gay men joined other citizens in the street and started a real fighting that continued in the next few days. Events at Christopher Street (aka Stounvollskie riots ) were the beginning of the changes in social attitudes towards homosexuals, the beginning of the organized movement for the rights of people of untraditional sexual orientation.

In 1979 in Berlin, the first gay parade in memory of the events in 1969 under the name of Christopher Street Day (CSD). C since the last Saturday in June on the streets of the city goes all the homosexual community, arranging bright, colorful and provocative presentation.
