[kl-bogel] The ancient town of Hoi An

(April 28-30)
Hoi An - a lovely little town on the river with an absolutely delightful historic center. I have not yet been to China, but for some reason, so-so and his imagined. Vietnamese town of Hoi An and Hue are similar in this respect - a feeling that you're not in Vietnam, and in ancient China. Still, a thousand years the Chinese ruled Viet Nam.
Hoi An I really liked. It is quiet, cozy, friendly people. I took a bicycle to the dollar and drove all day through the streets.

My trip from Nha Trang to Hoi An was enchanting. Night bus had to travel this distance in 12 hours. Instead, we had a bus sweet 22 hours!

At 11 am the bus stopped somewhere in the mountains.
We went out, I did some investigation and discovered the following. Blocked by a huge truck all the way to mile away from us. The driver mysteriously disappeared. A huge number of cars and buses were stuck on both sides of the truck, just to avoid a motorbike obstacle. As is typical in Asia, particularly one not experienced and did nothing. At 12 am the police arrived, it caused some excitement in the masses, but nothing happened. Our bus was a sleeper, with bed-places, so it was pretty good. But no air movement and it turned into a real mobile gas chamber: inside was 40 degrees and no fresh air.
I looked at the notebook themed film Clash (Crash) and went to bed at three o'clock in the morning. At six am we finally went! But for some reason, came only four in the afternoon. An unforgettable trip.

In Hoi Anna has an excellent bookshop. In Southeast Asia, I saw the books of Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, and Bulgakov in English, French and German. Just not in the original language. But no problem to buy a new hit Julia Shilova and such immortal works as "The Diary of brunettes," and "bitch. How to use it to become. "

85 percent of the population of Vietnam are involved in agriculture. Most farmers live on $ 75 a month.
Most Popular culture - Fig. Depending on the region, they collect 2.3 crops per year.

Vietnam - is a tourist country, you're constantly in a single stream with other travelers. Immediately followed by a cigarette-questions: What is an article from you, where you go.
To be honest, the standard conversation is navyazli on the teeth. The first thousand times it's very entertaining, then somehow get bored. All the same. Six months in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos or vice versa, very cheap, too expensive, do not miss it, it was very nice.
Miss any meaningful conversations on a more intellectual and deep themes. German literature, for example, or the Chinese bronze age of the Qin Dynasty.
But I still like to meet experienced travelers and unusual people with a beautiful story.

I consider myself a thrifty, all believe, bargain and do not spend money for nothing. But sometimes there are such fierce guys, compared to which I just sybarite and hedonist. They are ready to gnaw every dong traded for fifteen minutes without the slightest hope of success. Separate them at least a dollar can not afford even the Vietnamese, but these guys - true professionals.
In the end it gives its fruits. My friend Aaron Hollander operates in the manner and spends an average of $ 15 per day.
Caught myself thinking that I am more interested to communicate with people of twenty-eight - thirty-five years. This is what I've become an adult? Farewell roaring youth, good morning TV show and wool socks.

Actually, it's f / w station in Nha Trang, but this card somehow got here, so let it be. I have already tested the Vietnamese trains - all excellent.

Then during the day such a gloomy light, I prefer to remove individuals from four to half past five. A couple of times was even able to get up at six in the morning and go to a camera. But in the seventh floor - eight starts again a bad hard light.

In Hoi Ane's a lot of these units. Bicycle with an electric motor, drives at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour. This is not a sport, I'm against it!

Connoisseurs of Asian beauties argue that in Vietnam a little beautiful girls. I, too, so it seemed, this is not Thailand. But a lot of beautiful children.

Chill out on the river bank. Many English words? I already delete them without mercy. To be honest, I'm not really in Russian now.

With the advent of motorbikes, trishaw business was not profitable. In general, they ply the sale of drugs, offering lovely ladies, or simply robbed the night of drunken tourists.

Sudden Headshots per.
I've been chosen a new lens SP AF Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 XR. Good aperture and suitable to me a focal range. There is a VC and not, whatever that means (well, I know it). I even found a street in Hanoi, Vong Duc to the shops / used photo equipment. The new Tamron lens costs $ 380, used for the Nikon I found. One felt very sorry for the money is not the best time for such a sweet shopping. Inspire myself that I can compensate for the aperture in Photoshop, and bokeh - well, I try not to think about it.

From a series of shots, the most successful usually refuses to first when you only came to the position. Then you notice the people begin to laugh or get angry, poking hands into the lens, push each other. The output is trash.

Street food. In Hoi Ane there are several local dishes: cao lau, hoanh thanh, banh xeo and "White Rose". This tray is trading cao lau, a modification of noodles. Pretty tasty, worth 15,000 dong (75 cents). Fortunately, I'm not a gourmet, eat, give that. I try to eat healthy foods.
