[Mcm2Ada] The Indian diaspora in New York

India's economy is one of the fastest growing in the world, but the presence and development of the diaspora is almost as important as the development of the domestic economy in South Asia. Throughout the world, the Indian diaspora is proving to be the engine of prosperity. Remittances from Indians living in America, account for 4 percent of gross domestic product in India. 13 percent of graduate students at top American universities and colleges - of Indian origin. Just look at a center of Indian Diaspora, Queens, New York, known as Little India. These pictures convey more than a noisy, lively atmosphere prevailing there.
