[Mcm2Ada] Isu Halal Haram Golden Churn Creamy Butter (BRUNEI vs BADAN PENGESAHAN HALAL LAIN vs JAKIM)

Tetapi, saya agak keliru dengan kenyataan JAKIM iaitu mereka telah mendapat pengesahan dari wakil syarikat Ballantyne bahawa status itu tidak halal sedangkan di website Ballantyne itu sudah terang lagi telah menyatakan bahawa produk mereka halal dan telah medapat certification dari banyak badan.

Apa yang saya suka adalah kenyataan dari Regional General Manager ini, he has firm and belief that the butter is indeed halal

While the company, Ballantyne Food Pty Ltd, respects the decision of the state religious authorities to prohibit the consumption of the product by Muslims, it remains convinced that the product is Halal.

Ballantyne regional general manager Hemmat S Nasrallah yesterday pointed out that they had no problems with Islamic authorities of foreign countries such as Brunei and Singapore.

Although he confirmed that the company would take back any products upon request, he also told reporters: "No way will I cover up the Halal logo. I'd rather make more losses with what we are doing now (removing the product), then to cover the logo, because that would be seen as an 'admission' that the butter is not Halal."

"After evaluating the reports made by the Department of Scientific Services, Ministry of Health, Brunei Darussalam, which analysed 17 samples collected from all four districts in this country, including samples from a neighbouring country, the result of the analysis on all samples have shown that Golden Churn Pure Creamery Butter is free from pig DNA," read the statement issued yesterday.

Tak mahu la nak sentuh panjang pasal isu halal JAKIM ini yang bagi saya semua nya macam kelakar bila statement keluar tu tak de hala tuju, dulu kes Simplysiti sekarang Golden Churn Creamy Butter. Apa yang pasti, semua badan halal ini mempunya sistem cek yang sangat berbeza dan kan elok kalau badan halal satu dunia ni ade mesyuarah dan tentukan sistem apa nak di gunakan untuk cek status halal haram sesuatu makanan.

p/s : Dulu masa saya di United Kingdom, orang putih sangat particular dengan apa yang ada dalam bahan makanan mereka. Susah nak percaya dahulu mereka pernah ban satu Choclat Bar yang tiada tanda 'V' untuk vegan selama beberape waktu sehinggalah pengeluar coklat berkenaan akur dan ubah balik ingredient coklat bar tersebut free from any animal fat dan sesuai untuk 'vegetarians'.
